On Valentine’s Day it’s traditional to gift your significant other or loved ones sweets. Well we’ve got Food and Lifestyle expert Nastassia Johnson here to share a few Valentine’s Day ideas that go beyond your usual box of chocolates!
Fun options for different ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
For a cozy night in pick up some food from Clementine that you can easily heat up at home. I’ve actually been frequenting Clementine for over 10 years I just love it. For Valentine’s Day they have handmade sweets to bake at home and delicious savory heart-shaped heat–at-home entrees. The S’Amore are one of my favorites for Valentine’s. It’s a twist on a campfire favorite and transforms into a gooey molten confection at home. Everything they make here is fresh, seasonal and made from scratch. You can order their Valentine’s items online through Monday evening and they will also have items available in-store at both their Century City and Beverly Hills locations.
If you don’t want to stay home and are looking for a romantic night out Cliff’s Edge is just the ticket. The 5 course Valentine’s Day dinner from chef Will Kelly is not only sure to be delicious but their gorgeous Silverlake patio is so romantic. Their Valentine’s Day menu is also a preview to their new Spring menu which includes a Sticky Toffee -pudding, roasted apples, whipped creme fraiche, hazelnuts, and sea salt ice cream.
For a sweet escape that shares the love: take a beautiful drive up the coast an hour and half to The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara. They have a romantic Valentine’s Day rose spa treatment complete with sparkling rose and sweets or their new Restore & Regenerate package where a portion of the proceeds go to local firefighters in that area. It’s a great way to give love two ways.
