The NoMad Truck (by Chef Daniel Humm and Will Guidara) will launch its August burger collaboration with chef Walter Manzke today Wednesday August 2 from11am to 3pm outside of République (one of my favorite spots for pastries) in Los Angeles. Inspired by the flavors found in République’s signature Little Gems salad, Manzke’s burger features a crispy panko-crusted chicken patty, avocado, Serrano chili, lime, red onion, tomato, Little Gem lettuce and an herbaceous Green Goddess Dressing. But you’re not here for burgers so let’s talk about the sweet stuff shall we? On the ice cream front — to coincide with the burger collaboration, République’s new Crèmerie ice cream concept from Chef Margarita Manzke will feature The NoMad’s Milk & Honey ice cream with honey-oat shortbread & brittle throughout the month of August. The flavor will be available at the “Coffee and…” window starting 12pm and 10pm, daily. If you haven’t tried this ice cream you should, it’s damn good especially the honey-oat shortbread bits! And to make the deal even sweeter, proceeds from the République burger on the truck, as well as a portion of sales from The NoMad’s Milk & Honey ice cream scoops sold at Crèmerie will benefit the Manzke’s charity of choice, Stu and the Kids. So get thee to the NEW Crèmerie!
